The Enterprise Integration Programme (EIP) was originally established to replace the legacy integration systems.

In 2015 the Enterprise Integration Programme established the centralised platforms and accomplished a series of pilot interface migrations with the assistance of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This enabled the P1 risk to be downgraded to a P2 risk but with a clear directive that EIP must expedite to completion.

This request is for the augmentation of the current ICOE resources with Oracle Fusion Middleware skills in order to support, ensure quality and smooth release of EIP Release 2
Description of Service/ product that needs to be provided :
Contracts with the following staff roles within the Enterprise Integration Programme Structure for ICOE augmentation

1x Senior Integration Technical Architect

The scope of work includes:

• Review EIP Vendors designs documents
• Perform Code Walk through quality assessment of the EIP Vendors
• Perform Unit Testing verification with the EIP vendors
• Approve EIP vendors Unit Testing results
• Perform code migration for EIP vendors in the ICOE infrastructure
• Resolve Non Production environment issues related to Oracle Fusion Middleware
• Deploy code to Production
• Assist with QA Testing by capturing the QA testing proof
• Assist with Performance Testing by capturing the Performance testing proof
• Assist with stopping and starting the Weblogic servers
• Perform Message Modelling for the EIP release 2

Main purpose

The primary responsibility of this position is to drive and support the establishment of Application Architecture capabilities and services to DFA. The Application Architect has to develop and implement the Architectural and Governance principles for the ICT frameworks. The application architect should be able to bring solution design knowledge, which enables solution developers to transition to new application delivery types and become proficient in them more quickly.
As the Applications Architect you represent the Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Applications architecture domains within the company ensuring that these are aligned to the business capabilities. Application Architecture will be delivering enterprise architecture artefacts and content for the Applications and SOA domains i.e. the reference architectures, EA landscapes, portfolios, application and SOA roadmaps and be the custodian of the enterprise applications portfolio landscape. Provide enterprise guidance and impact analysis on strategic projects. Must be able to frame designs at the right level for delivery into solution architecture teams. Build the business to IT alignment views as concerned with the Application and SOA portfolios. Apply the relevant architecture governance for the SOA and applications architecture domains as aligned to the IT governance, project governance and SDLC activities. Understand the external factors, strategy directions, business drivers and macro-economic impact on the enterprise. Able to interpret this impact into meaningful scenarios and architecture solutions.

A decision was made to get additional resources with expert knowledge on ADOBE forms that can assist with the development as well as provide guidance and on the job training to the internal resources. The requirement is therefor to get two expert SAP ABAP Adobe resources for two months that can develop the more complex forms while also provide knowledge transfer and guidance to the permanent resources.

Background Information


This request is for performance testing resources to perform regression performance testing during Release 2. The Vendors will perform performance testing of their own interfaces. These resources will run the regression performance tests of the Vendor interfaces together with all previously migrated interfaces in production (to ensure that all solution currently in production can run well without performance degradation as more interfaces are added to the mix). These resources solely focus on regression testing of current production solutions, whilst the vendors focus on the assigned release 2 solutions.

3. Scope of work/supply
The scope of work of these resources working on Release 2 is:
• Definition of performance test approach/method
• Arrange and drive workshops with the clients and SMEs
• Provide guidance on performance testing including:
• Which tests to be included in performance testing
• Performance testing approach
• Measure effectiveness of performance testing
• Put in place processes and practices to ensure performance test scripts remain current
• Execute performance regression testing
• Resolution of any issues which could impact performance testing
• Ensure performance scripts are version managed
• Arrange scheduling of performance tests
• Test and debug performance test scripts
• Verify and secure documentation re performance test scripts
• Obtain approval from the relevant stakeholders for the completed performance tests

There is a need to augment the HCM team with 3 contractors in order to allow the current HCM team to be assigned to critical projects and changes (specialised application and business knowledge is required) as well as to alleviate the workload for the HCM employees, and to enable the team to meet the required deadlines.

The successful contractors will be utilised to augment the team to perform end-user support, support to staff, analysis, design, enhancements/changes and optimisation activities.
